Abstract
A 12-year-old Persian cat has been presented for evaluation of multiple cystic masses on the four eyelids. The largest lesion was removed by radical excision of the affected anterior lamella. Histopathological analysis allowed the identification of apocrine cystomatosis, a cystic hyperplasia of sweat glands, composed of several contiguous cysts lined by a monolayer of flattened to columnar cells. Diagnosis of an apocrine cystadenoma originating from the glands of Moll (hidrocystoma) could not be completely excluded and is thereby discussed. A two-year-follow-up revealed no complications.
