Abstract
⺠We studied predictors of non-response to pneumococcal vaccine after splenectomy. ⺠Immunosuppression and the reason for splenectomy were predictors of non-response. ⺠The likelihood ratio for a positive result was low. ⺠Our predictive models cannot replace determination of immunological response.
