Abstract

Failures caused by heavy duty conditions, as well as the changes of technological requirements, are basic reasons for the redesign of specific substructures of the high performance machines (HPM). This paper presents solutions of reconstruction and comparative stress analyses for original and redesigned representative HPM subsystems. The efficiency of these reconstructions is unquestionably confirmed by experimental investigations as well as failureless service of mentioned subsystems.

► We present an efficient reconstructions of the BWE representative substructures. ► The conducted analysis enables to determine weak points in the considered structure. ► The carried out research enables to create a rational redesign. ► The obtained results point out advantages of the redesigned structure. ► The validity of the presented redesign is confirmed by failureless exploitation.
