Abstract
A high structural sound insulation door was tested with different combinations and types of seals. The seal parameters included the installation, seal geometry, material, pressure and sealing principle. The experimental results were compared with a combination of sound insulation models developed by Sharp, Jones and Gomperts. The model and experimental results are approximately the same as proposed model and valid in a narrow band, which proves that this model cannot be used over a wide of range of frequencies. Previous research has addressed doors with less structural sound insulation.
