Abstract
This paper introduces shortly all the slipping test methods used for pedestrian slip resistance characteristics and gives an example application study on travertine slip resistance by using ramp slip meter. Slippness may be defined as an effect formed due to the friction of the object interacted with surface. Slip resistance is the most important factor taken into account as natural stone, ceramics, etc. Determining parameters on measurement of natural stone's slip resistance are hardness, porosity, surface roughness and durability in measuring conditions.
