Abstract
This study evaluates aerosol dynamics along an isothermal vertical flat plate. Various transport and removal mechanisms of aerosol dynamics, including fluid convection, Brownian motion, thermophoretic drift, and coagulation of aerosols, are simulated. The SIMPLE method is applied to solve the momentum, energy, and aerosol concentration equations. The main scheme is based on a boundary layer type solution of sectional aerosol simulation that uses flow fields provided a computational dynamics code. This study evaluates the aerosol concentration distribution within the concentration boundary layer and investigates the effect of coagulation on the deposition velocity along a vertical isothermal flat plate.
