Abstract
In the present paper, the various higher order shear deformation theories of Levinson, Touratier, Karama, Aydogdu and Mantari are used to model the functionally graded plates. The governing differential equations are discretized by a meshless method based on thin plate spline radial basis function. The present results are compared with other available published results which demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of thin plate spline radial basis function method in the analysis of functionally graded plates.
