Abstract

ABSTRACTAIMTo study the chemical constituents of the roots of Chloranthus fortunei.METHODSThe chemical constituents were isolated and purified using column chromatographies and the structures were elucidated on the basis of spectral analysis.RESULTSFive compounds were obtained and their structures were identified as chloranthatone (1), atractylenolactam (2), chloranthalactone C (3), atractylenolid III (4) and shizuka-acoradienol (5).CONCLUSIONCompound 1 is a new germacrane sesquiterpenoid, and compound 2 has been isolated from this genus for the first time.
