Abstract
AimTo search for anti-HIV-1 metabolites from the cultures of helotialean ascomycete.MethodsHelotialins A-C (1-3) were purified from the crude extract using silica gel VLC, Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography, and reversed-phase HPLC. The structures of 1-3 were determined by NMR spectroscopy, and their absolute configurations were assigned by CD excitation chirality method.ResultsHelotialins A-C (1-3) were identified as three new azaphilone analogues.ConclusionCompounds 1 and 2 displayed inhibitory effects on HIV-1 replication in C8166 cells.
