Abstract

AimTo study the chemical constituents of Boea hygrometrica (Bunge.) R. Br.MethodsThe compounds were isolated and purified by Diaion HP-20, Toyopearl HW-40, silica gel column chromatography and the structures were identified on the basis of spectral data and physiochemical properties.ResultsSeven compounds were obtained and identified as 5,7,3′4′-tetrahydroxy-6-methoxy-8-C-[β-D-xylopyranosy1-(1→2)]-β-D-glucopyranosyl flavone (1), p-hydroxy phenethylalcohol (2), 3,4-dihydroxy phenethylalcohol (3), apocynin (4), ferulic acid (5), 1′-O-β-D-(3,4-dihydroxy)-ethyl-6′-O-trans-caffeoyl-β-D-apiofuranosyl-(1→3′)- glucopyranoside (6), gentisic acid (7).ConclusionCompound 1 was a new c-glycoside flavonal and compounds 2–7 were isolated from this plant for the first time.
