New Sesquiterpenoid from Pestalotiopsis sp.

AimTo study the chemical constituents of Pestalotiopsis sp.MethodChromatographic separations of silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 and Cl8 reversed phase silica gel were used to isolate the compound. The structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analysis (NMR, IR, UV and MS).ResultsOne new sesquiterpenoid, named pestalotiopsol A (1), and one known compound, named 4-hydroxyphenylethanol (2), were isolated from Pestalotiopsis sp..ConclusionCompound 1 is a new sesquiterpenoid.
