Abstract
The dispersion of TiO2 in polypropylene (PE) film has been characterised by a selection of microscopic methods – scanning electron microscopy (SEM), focussed ion beam (FIB) and secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS). Using a combination of microscopy and mathematic tools, the TiO2 dispersion in different nanocomposites can be compared quantitatively, even for nanocomposites with different TiO2 loadings, which gives insight into the relationship between particle dispersion and properties.
