Abstract
This work determines the maximal possible deformations of a corrugated sheet where the corrugation pattern consists of two circular segments. The influence of the lay-up of cross-ply laminates and the influence of the geometry is investigated. The calculations are based on considerations of layerwise strains that are calculated with the help of an analytical singly-curved shell model. For the evaluation of the influence of geometric nonlinearities according finite element simulations are performed and compared to the linear strain limit calculations. The influence of scalable geometry parameters is also investigated.
