Abstract
In this work, a radome was fabricated using a composite sandwich constructions composed of an E-glass fabric/epoxy composite, a PVC foam, and a frequency selective surface (FSS) for stealth performance. The polarization characteristics of the stealth radome were investigated using measured electromagnetic (EM) transmission characteristics with respect to the polarization angle between the direction of the electric field of incident EM waves and the direction of the dipole length by way of a free space measurement system. The dielectric properties of the E-glass fabric/epoxy composite and the PVC foam were also measured with respect to the polarization angle.
