Abstract

In this paper, rλ−1 type antiplane stress singularities in dissimilar anisotropic wedges and junctions are studied. For some special wedge angles, the eigenequations derived are a function of fiber orientations and the elastic constants in the principal material coordinates. The boundary surfaces of the wedges can be subjected to combinations of free and clamped boundary conditions. The repeated occurrence of stress singularity orders is examined. By properly selecting the fiber orientations, the degree of the stress singularities can be diminished or even disappeared. The singularities of the materials reduced to isotropic are discussed as well.
