Abstract
⺠Inhibition of isoforms of the cPLA2 and iPLA2 groups in AD might impair neurogenesis. ⺠Stimulation of sPLA2-IIA and cPLA2-IVA might contribute to neurodegeneration in AD. ⺠Further studies could assess the role of cPLA2-IVB, cPLA2-IVC, iPLA2-VIA and iPLA2-VIB in AD. ⺠Further research could investigate the status of sPLA2-III, sPLA2-V and sPLA2-X in the AD brain.
