Abstract
⺠Altered Ca2+ homeostasis leads to arsenic-induced HKM apoptosis. ⺠Calpain-2 plays a critical role in the process. ⺠ERK is pro-apoptotic in arsenic-induced HKM apoptosis. ⺠Arsenic-induced HKM apoptosis involves cross talk between calpain-2 and ERK.
