Abstract
The results demonstrate that pravastatin inhibits increase of serum cholesterol and vascular dysfunction in hypercholesterolemic rabbit. Benidipine is effective in preventing vascular hyperplasia without altering serum cholesterol levels and this may be due to inhibition of expression of VCAM-1.
