Abstract
The mechanism of Chinese herbal medicine remains unrevealed because we know little about the interacting targets of its constituents. Taking the function of “Activating Blood and Dissolving Stasis” (ABDS) as an example, a method to construct a functional network is proposed, and the functional network of ABDS is established. The results indicate that this method can not only establish a theoretical basis for explaining the mechanism of Chinese herbal medicine, but also provide new clues for the clinical treatment of complex diseases and drug development. This method may serve as a practical solution to functional network construction.
