Abstract

The objective of this research is to study the hemodynamics status on the impact of Salvia miltiorrhiza injection and Acanthopanax senticosus injection mixture (CIDAN mixture) against acute myocardial ischemia in rats. Ramus descendens anterior arteriae coronariae sinistrae was ligated, and a plastic angio catheter full of 1% liquemine was inserted into left ventricles from right common carotid artery; the change of left ventricular pressure after 15 min from the ligation was observed. It was found that CIDAN mixture can increase left ventricular systolic pressure (LVSP) (P < 0.05) and change in left ventricular maximum pressure rate (± dp/dtmax) (P < 0.05) and can reduce left ventricular end-diastolic pressure (LVEDP) (P < 0.05) of acute myocardial ischemia after 15 min. The results show that effect of CIDAN mixture is better than that of Acanthopanax senticosus injection and Salvia miltiorrhiza injection alone. It is concluded that CIDAN mixture has invariable protection on rats with acute myocardial ischemia.
