Abstract
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is the important characteristic of cancer treatment in China. Data from clinical studies and animal experiments in the last 40 years have showed that immunoregulation is the principal advantage and characteristic of TCM in cancer treatment. Tumor immunoediting is a new theory brought forward in recent years, which includes immunosurveillance and immuno-escape. Herein, the author discusses the regulation effect of TCM on the process of tumor immunoediting from aspects of improving immuno-surveillance and inversing immuno-escape, and also analyzes the underlying molecular mechanism of the effect.
