Abstract
Conclusions: The campaign for rational drug use in hospitalized elderly patients in India should promote pantoprazole, ceftriaxone, and atorvastatin prescribing in concordance with their indications. Interventions to reduce the high-level polypharmacy in the elderly during their stays in tertiary care hospitals in India should focus on patients with â¥3 diagnoses, angina pectoris, and/or â¥10 days of hospital stay.
