Abstract
.Type Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease, whose incidence is alarmingly growing. It is associated with severe metabolic abnormalities and increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. The first detectable alteration in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis is endothelial dysfunction which is linked to alteration in microcirculation. Detection of microvascular dysfunction in diabetes would force physician to implement early aggressive therapeutic intervention.
