Abstract
DHA-edible micro-algae show the potential to inhibit rumen methanogenesis and to affect lipolysis and hydrogenation of linoleic (C18:2 n-6) and linolenic acid (C18:3 n-3). Inhibitory effects were linked to the amount of unesterified DHA.
