Abstract
This paper presents forms of the phenomenon of acting and behaviour, as established by S. Freud in relation to the psychoanalytic process, by A. Green in relation to intra-psychic work and by P. Marty in relation to the clinical occurrence of behaviour neurosis. Clinical material is then presented from the psychoanalytic therapy of a patient manifesting somatic disorders and deficiencies in his psychic economy and function. At the same time, manifestations of behaviour are discussed through which, on the one hand, psychic tension is released, and on the other, the psychic apparatus is supplied with perceptual and sensory stimuli.
