Abstract
A case is presented of an 18 year old woman with clinical picture of the sudden appearance of cyanosis, diagnosed as toxic methaemoglobinaemia after using EMLA® topical anaesthetic cream (mixture of local anaesthetics, lidocaine and prilocaine).
