Abstract
⺠AKR1B1 and AKR1B10 are implicated in the development of various cancers. ⺠AKR1B1 expression is decreased in cancerous endometrium of post-menopausal women. ⺠Higher mRNA and lower protein levels of AKR1B10 are seen in cancerous endometrium. ⺠In endometrium, AKR1B1 and AKR1B10 appear involved in initiation of carcinogenesis.
