Abstract
► We investigated the accumulation of cadmium and its toxicological effects on oxidative stress biomarkers in different tissues of juvenile flounder. ► Accumulation of Cd in the fish was dose-dependent and tissue-specific, with the greatest accumulation in the liver, followed by the kidney, gill, and muscle. ► The gill was most sensitive to oxidative damage caused by Cd exposure, followed by the liver and the kidney.
