Abstract
⺠Cd intoxication effects on oxidative stress parameters in the rat heart were evaluated. ⺠Cd exerts time-of-exposure dependent effects on the antioxidant/prooxidant status in serum and heart. ⺠Cadmium affects antioxidant enzymes at transcriptional and posttranscriptional levels in the mammalian heart.
