Abstract
⺠We overhauled an aircraft piston engine to determine possible asbestos exposure. ⺠The mechanics used normal work practices. ⺠Asbestos was observed in bulk samples; asbestos was observed in a few air samples at ambient concentrations. ⺠Mechanics overhauling aircraft piston engines are not exposed to elevated asbestos concentrations.
