Abstract
⺠Pregnant rats were treated with artesunate, mefloquine and their association. ⺠Artesunate induced embryolethality and bones malformations. ⺠Mefloquine induced maternal toxicity with no fetus anomalies. ⺠The artesunate/mefloquine combination resulted in a reduced developmental toxicity.
