Abstract
⺠Neuro-safety of silver nanoparticles (Ag-np) was investigated in Wistar rats. ⺠Low-dose (3 mg/kg) and high-dose (30 mg/kg) Ag-np were given to rats for 14 days. ⺠Results showed that LTP and MWM were injured in rats of low- and high-dose Ag-np groups. ⺠ROS increased significantly in hippocampal homogenate in rats treated with Ag-np. ⺠ROS may be the reason of the impairment of hippocampus function caused by Ag-np.
