Abstract
This paper presents tests results and the evaluation of the influence of selected hydrophobic agents (A, B and C type) on basic strength parameters of the autoclaving cellular concrete (ACC) used in building engineering. Bending and compressive strength and moisture absorption were tested. On the basis of the moisture absorption tests the freeze–thaw resistant was determined. Analysis of the obtained results allowed a conclusion that the application of suitable hydrophobic products to the ACC furthers the modification of its given strength parameters. Subsequently, the ACC with modified strength parameters can be applied in building engineering for construction and modernization of structures.
