Abstract

In the paper these structural parameters of ceramic samples are determined experimentally: reserve of pore volume, degree of structural inhomogeneity, maximum rate of capillary wetting front, capillary rate of mass flow, total open porosity. The reciprocal statistical analysis of data is performed and empirical equations derived, showing the interdependence among firing cycles stages (expressed in square measures) and structural parameters. Applying empirical equations of the derived interdependences, it is possible to control technological process and to obtain ceramics with different properties although having the same composition formation mixes, but varying the magnitudes of firing cycles (temperature increase, keeping at the maximum temperature, temperature decrease).
