Abstract
With the description of new indices to monitor the hemodynamic states of shock and ARDS, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) has become a tool for diagnosis and hemodynamic monitoring. The daily use of TEE requires simple hemodynamic parameters assessment. This article describes these parameters and the TEE approaches to obtain them. The acquisition of such skills can be done over 6 months requiring 20 exams supervised by an expert.
