Abstract
Brachial plexus anesthesia can be performed at several levels. Subclavicular approach of brachial plexus has been decreasing till the 1980s, because of worry about pneumothorax. Different approaches have been described in order to improve safety without changing significantly the procedure. Ultrasonography has renewed the interest for the supraclavicular approach, because it makes it possible to identify the environmental anatomical structures and to block all the cords of the brachial plexus.
