Abstract
Practical process of a psychiatrist in intensive care unit for patient who did serious medical self-poisoning. Meeting them could be determinant for the ulterior care. The psychiatrist organizes with the intensive care physician the management, appreciating the clinical conditions, the risk factors of suicide, the intentional degree and the risk of short-dated recurrence. He contacts the entourage and the usual doctors. The guidance requires a good acquaintance with the local psychiatric care network. The characteristics of serious suicide attempts need more studies.
