Abstract
Invasive candidiasis are severe nosocomial complications, especially for patients in intensive care units. For clinicians, recent availability of new antifungal agents reflects the growing importance of fungal invasive infections in hospital during the last decade. These new antifungal agents have different mechanisms of action, a wider spectrum of activity and a better tolerance. Anidulafungin, new echinocandin, is a wide spectrum antifungal with proven clinical efficacy in invasive and esophageal candidiasis.
