Abstract
The prevalence of obesity has dramatically increased in the last years. Complex pharmacokinetic modifications are observed in obese and morbidly obese patients. Changes in tissue distribution, hepatic clearance have been described and renal clearance is increased by obesity. We propose to describe the main pharmacokinetics changes induced by obesity and relative to a few drugs daily used in reanimation and to give published dosage recommendations.
