Abstract
Shoulder conditions are a frequent complaint among patients and some of these conditions are thought to be due to a subacromial space conflict, bringing about tendon pathologies and bursa's inflammation. Among other factors, the literature studies the influence of muscle in this joint. Myofascial trigger points, causing Myofascial Pain Syndrome, can disturb the muscles acting in this space and could initiate and perpetuate the subacromial impingement syndrome.
