Abstract
The injuries derived from racing have increased their number in the last years, due to the importance of this sport. The forces of compression derived from the contact with the ground, the age, the index of corporal mass, the previous activity, the height of the plantar arch and the days of training per week, are relevant risks factors. These injuries are going to settle, especially, in the lower extremity. Nevertheless, they can also be located in other structures, such as the lumbar column. For this reason, a case of an experienced runner, which, due to a change in the training presented backache is reported. The pain diminished after a physical therapy treatment and modification of the surface of training. The reasons which can provoke this backache are very diverse, being necessary to realize an anamnesis as well as a suitable exploration that approaches all the possible related factors
