Abstract

SummaryPeroneal nerve palsy is the most common entrapment neuropathy in the lower extremity, and the presentation of foot drop is a frequent initial manifestation of this disorder. This condition can have a marked influence on the patient's activities of daily living, and is classified as ‘Impairment of Body Structure.’ Current literature provides little direction to its evaluation and management, and the importance to differentially diagnose the causes of foot drop. Therefore, the purpose of this case report is to describe the application of chiropractic manipulative therapy, for a 14-year-old female with an insidious onset of foot drop.
