Abstract
The following paper deals with the stakes, implications and innovations of the reform of initial training in physiotherapy in France, implemented in 2015. The selective entry and training processes are intended to enhance the skills of future physiotherapists and to progressively integrate initial training in a university context. The reform provides a new framework and prospects for all those concerned by physiotherapy training, to improve the quality of care and for the profession. The guidelines and teaching principles introduced by the reform will renew management of the curriculum, develop teaching skills and diversify the means and fields of professional qualification. The final targets are to enhance professional status, to acquire academic recognition for physiotherapy and to open the curriculum to international exchanges.
