Abstract
The article initially highlights the missing unified osteopathic field theory and its possible dramatic consequences for osteopathy. Based on the synthesis of A.T. Still's philosophy and J.M. Littlejohn's science of osteopathy, it will be shown, that during the founding years, a classical osteopathic field theory already existed. The corner marks of this field theory are introduced for the first time and invite for discussion in regard to being an ideal starting point in order to elaborate on an extended osteopathic field theory.
