Abstract

SummaryThe aim of this process evaluation was to better understand the practice implications of an intervention designed to train parents to massage their children with Cerebral Palsy. Seventy parents completed the Training and Support Programme (TSP) with their children. Data were collected by Home Record Sheets and Observation Sheets completed by parents and therapists, respectively. Implications for practice included therapist's sensitivity to the needs of each parent and child, the need for flexibility in the delivery of the TSP, and the implementation of strategies to ensure the TSP ran smoothly. Such strategies may be of value in the delivery of other similar interventions.
