Abstract
IntroductionPlastic wrap is an example of an intervention developed to prevent or minimise heat loss in the newborn. Plastic wrap enables clinical staff easy of access and visualisation of the newborn at all times.Case presentationA 24-week infant was placed in a plastic wrap as part of a clinical trial. A cord bleed was noticed soon after birth. The rapidness of the problem indicated an additional advantage of the application of plastic wrap.
