Developing a new DVD for parents of every premature and sick baby in the UK

In November 2008, child health charity Best Beginnings launched the acclaimed “from bump to breastfeeding” DVD, which is now going free to every pregnant woman in the UK. The next big project that Best Beginnings plans to undertake is the production of a DVD that will be given free to the families of every baby who spends time in the neonatal environment. In this article we give some background on Best Beginnings, the need for the new DVD, the nature and status of this new project and how you can help play a pivotal role. We also give information on where you can order, for free, copies of the existing “from bump to breastfeeding” DVD, which has three 10 min films which can assist you in your work of supporting the parents of premature babies to breastfeed.
