Abstract
The central panel features the poem following a map of the Wanganui River. Surrounding the poem is a selection of photos and a peripheral checkerboard. It can be viewed as a poster from different cultural perspectives, or played as a board game that follows the ups and downs of a baby's journey through NNU. It identifies emotions that mothers and their families feel and validates these emotions as NORMAL. The feelings and emotions expressed are based upon personal experience from when my own son was a neonatal baby 18 years ago! My neonatal nursing practise is underpinned by that first-hand experience of being a neonatal mother.
