Abstract
Researchers have indicated that since Operation Desert Storm, the majority of gynecologic problems exhibited during deployment are from vaginal and urinary tract infections and menstrual disorders. The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of military women's health issues during military operations and summarize current knowledge and recommendations to promote their gynecologic health needs while deployed. Military women would benefit from predeployment healthâpromotion programs that focus on preventive measures to enhance gynecologic health while deployed.
