Abstract
A prenatal breastfeeding workshop developed for primiparous women was specifically designed to increase a woman's breastfeeding selfâefficacy in the early postpartum period. Research has shown that breastfeeding selfâefficacy, defined as a woman's confidence in her ability to breastfeed, is positively related to breastfeeding success. Teaching strategies, based on Bandura's SelfâEfficacy Theory and adult learning principles, were incorporated in the workshop design. JOGNN, 35, 349â357; 2006. DOI: 10.1111/J.1552â6909.2006.00053.x
